Brad pinch hit for pitcher Ronald Belisario in the 8th inning and was hit by a pitch!! OUCH!!!
Ryan Braun, OF, 3B - Milwaukee Brewers
Ryan went 1-for-4, and scored a run in the Brewers win over the Reds. He also struck out twice. His average decreased to .316.
Craig Breslow, P – Oakland A’s
Craig pitched 1/3 of a scoreless inning and earned his 4th hold of the year in the A’s win over the Rangers. He lowered his ERA to 5.03.
Craig earned a Chai 5!

Scott Feldman, P – Texas Rangers
Scott is scheduled to pitch later this week.
John Grabow, P, Pittsburgh Pirates
John didn’t pitch in the Pirates 1-run loss to the Astros.
Gabe Kapler, OF – Tampa Bay Rays
Gabe pinch hit for OF Gabe Gross in the 8th inning and ground out. His average remained below the Mendoza Line and is currently .178.

Ian Kinsler, 2B – Texas Rangers
Ian went 1-for-5 and took part in 2 double plays. On the negative side, he committed his 4th error of the year and his average fell to .279.

Jason is scheduled to pitch later in the week.
Scott Schoeneweis, P – Arizona Diamondbacks
Scott is currently dealing with the unexpected loss of his wife. My prayers are with him.
Kevin Youkilis, 1B, 3B – Boston Red Sox
Youk went 2-for-4, drove in 2 runs, walked once and scored 3 runs in the BoSox victory over the Blue Jays. Both of his hits were solo homers. He hit his first one in the 1st off Toronto left-hander Ricky Romero, then hit the other one in the eighth off right-hander Brian Wolfe for the sixth multihomer game of his career. He raised his average to .366.

Lou Gehrig dies of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis at age
37 in New York. From that time on, the illness is known
primarily as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

Ryan Braun, OF, 3B - Milwaukee Brewers
Ryan went 0-for-4, with a strike out in the Brewers loss to the Marlins. His average decreased to .309.
Craig Breslow, P – Oakland A’s
Craig pitched 1 and 1/3 innings and took the loss Monday. He entered a tied game with 2 outs in the 6th, got the final out and then pitched a scoreless 7th inning. He allowed a leadoff walk to Scott Podsednik in the eighth inning who came around to score on Jim Thome’s 550th home run. His ERA rose to 5.14 and his record fell to 1-4.
Just goes to show that leadoff walks will come back to haunt you!
